Sneaky kitty

Ozzy sneaks a minute of rest in the puppy's bed. It's the perfect size for him...

what?

I was looking through some pics of when the fam was visiting last year, and found this. If you read it carefully, it's pretty funny. I mean, who goes on a restroom tour?

Happy Easter!

I think my favorite family event of the year (extended family that is) has to be the Easter reunion in Abbeville. All the first, second and third cousins you can handle. Well, I don't really know what a third cousin is, but I'm sure they're there. Every year I relearn how everyone is related to everyone else, and by the time everyone is leaving I usually have it down. Of course, I have to repeat the process again the next year...and the next. Maybe it'll stick for good one of these years. I mean, with ~34 first cousins, it does get a little confusing! And of course, being Millers, everyone looks alike :). Hopefully in the next couple years Chris and I will make it down for an Easter reunion.
This year, we're still thousands of miles away. It's absolutely gorgeous out, except for the heinous yellow dust. So of course we can't go outside and enjoy the day.
We've decided the first thing we're doing when we get back (besides finding a place to live and buying another vehicle of course) is going camping! We're gonna take a weekend and just hang out in the woods, hopefully with our friend Fernando and his wife Laura, and relax and breathe some fresh, relatively unpolluted air. Ahhh, I can't wait.

more puppy stuff

It looks like a loving embrace, but its the never-ending, knock-down drag-out fight that these two can't get enough of. Ozzy has started dive-bombing the dog from his cat tree. They both seem to love the wrestling, so I let them be most of the time.

He sat nicely for the picture. He knows "down" too, but won't always do it. Still got a lot of work to do...

puppy's gonna grow!

So I brought the little pooper to the vet this morning for some follow-up vaccinations. They said he might get up to 30 lbs! That's a bit more than the 15 lbs they told me down in Taegu. I'm actually happier with that size. A bit more sturdy. We're hoping he can go camping with us, so that would work out better.
129 days 'til we leave Korea! Whoohoo!
My friend Jeremiah from DLI is moving to Korea to teach English. He should be here already actually. It'll be nice to catch up a bit with him. Hopefully he'll get some time off so we can show him around Seoul a bit.
In other news-Rach is coming back for a visit at the end of May. The apartment should be hopping for the two weeks she's here, with all of her friends coming over and visiting.
So, the time should pass pretty quickly until we leave...I'm hoping

New puppy in the house!

This little bundle of energy is Eddie. He's half miniature schnauzer, and half miniature doberman pinscher. He loves to play, and to chase the cat around the house. Ozzy likes to sit up on his cat tree and swat at the puppy.

I think the cat knows he's just a baby, because if Eddie pounces on him, he won't really fight back. He just kinda puts up with it, or runs away. Of course, if he runs away the puppy thinks it's a game and will take off after him. Loads of fun :). He knows "no", and he's getting better with his housebreaking (thank God for wood floors). He doesn't cry when we put him in the bathroom at night, and he knows to stay out of our bedroom. I let him off the leash sometimes when he goes outside to potty, and when there are kids or other dogs so he can play with them. He loves to take laps around the sandy playground with his cocker spaniel friend Charlie. He's very gentle with kids-there were a couple one-year olds tottering around and he gave them a quick lick and a tail wag. He's getting really good at letting me bathe him, and loves to tear around the house afterward-it reminds me of Briley.
I'm having to sweep twice a day now to keep up with the mess he tracks around the house, but that's okay. I'll just have to get a mat he can wipe his feet on outside.
