Birthday Bash 2005
Well, I'm a bit behind on this blogging stuff... Things have been pretty busy around here, everyone is gearing up for the end of the school year. Rachel had her senior prom this past Saturday, and she looked gorgeous! I think she put up pictures on her website, to which you can find a link on the side of this page, but I'll have to double check to be sure. Chris has been out of town for the last week and a half, and Rachel and I used the time to do lots of girly stuff like shopping for prom shoes, and the beads to make her jewelry, and just watch lots of Disney movies :). My newest achievement is my blue belt. I tested last week, but Master Choi hasn't brought the belts to class yet, so I'm still wearing green. Rachel tests this week for her black belt, and I think I might try and take some pictures if she'll let me :).
Chris and I, James and Rachel went out to California Roll-in Sushi restaurant in Itaewon for my birthday dinner. They have great food! We stopped by Outback afterward for some cheesecake (yum!) and some coffee. Look here for pictures. It was a pretty good birthday-I wore my new birthday pants (thank you Emily!) and heels to work, and got complimented by a random Korean woman. Gotta love that :). I also avoided getting puked on while riding the bus. Some poor guy had just had surgery-he only missed me by a couple inches. That could have been really bad!
Anyway, now that everyone is grossed out... Is it sad that I'm terribly excited by my latest purchase? It's a Bissell "Little Green" deep clean vacuum thingy. I've been playing with it all afternoon, cleaning everything in sight (watch out Ozzy!!!). Yeah, I know I must have no life, but with that crazy yellow dust still blowing in from China, and pollen season here as well, plus the hairy beast, this apartment certainly needs cleaning a lot more often than I'd like.
We're pretty excited about Star Wars III, it opens here on base on Thursday, but since Chris doesn't come home til Friday, we're gonna wait to see it until then. Thank God it's free, because we'll probably end up seeing it a couple times. Not that we won't hit the Korean theater when it comes out there, because AAFES (Army/Air Force Exchange Service) theaters are not the greatest.
Well, not much else to report except that Mom and Em will be visiting in two weeks, and I can't wait! It's gonna be so much fun- a houseful of girls :). I'll put up a folder of Rachel's prom pics on the seoultrain site as soon as she gives me the o.k. Until then, stay tuned for news as I'll hopefully send out another update letter soon to everyone on our updates list (see www.seoultrain.net for more info on updates).
