Sorry it's been awhile since the last post-things have been pretty busy, although they are definitely slower this week with Rachel in Japan. She's in Kadena, Okinawa for her Far East Volleyball Tournament and they are doing well so far. I'll post the game results when I get them-they're much too busy to keep us updated often!
I did add a couple pictures to my
photo album, for those who haven't checked in a while. Nothing super-amazing, but I plan on adding lots more after this weekend. This will be the first weekend with the right kind of batteries for my camera, and a charger that works for once! So I'm planning on taking that thing every where we go! Chris has Thursday and Friday off, so hopefully we'll do some running around town a bit...just to get out of the house. Thursday night I think we're heading over to Three Alley Pub for trivia night with our friend and Chris' coworker James, and maybe some other coworkers of Chris'. I haven't been to a trivia night yet, but I've heard they're lots of fun!
So it'll be weird when Rachel gets back-she won't have volleyball practice until 7 every night, so we might actually see her now:). I think she's planning on doing a lot of sewing-I told her she can't buy any new fabric until she uses all the stuff she brought. We'll see how long I hold out on that one. I'm glad she'll be around next week, because Chris will be gone on another business trip, although he gets to come back for the weekend, which is nice.
We're also planning Thanksgiving. I'm going to have to shop early for a Turkey-I imagine they sell out pretty quickly here. It'll just be Chris, Rachel, James and I - a very cosy day I think, but I'm sure we'll make enough food to feed an army, just so we don't have to cook the rest of the weekend!
Anyway, that's the update for now. Oh, and I cooked a gumbo Monday night for the Ladies' Coffee Social-they all enjoyed it I think-although I didn't use as much Tony's as I might have normally, cuz who knows when I'll get more (gotta ration that stuff out). Someone else made potato salad-the only thing missing was French Bread, but I had too much to do, and no one else missed it of course.
